Introduction

MercyAscot undertakes to ensure that candidates are well suited and able to do the job they are applying for and as such, a variety of pre-employment checks are carried out not only to support and validate information provided throughout the recruitment process, but also to ensure our processes are legally compliant, and to minimise the risk of hiring candidates into positions for which they are unsuitable. 

MercyAscot undertakes the following pre-employment screening as part of the recruitment process.

All positions:

  • Identity Verification
  • Proof of Eligibility to work in NZ
  • Reference Checks
  • Pre-employment health screening

For designated positions:

  • Professional Registration check
  • Driver licensing check
  • Criminal History / Credit check
  • Pre-employment Hep B, Hep C and MRSA Screening
  • Children's Worker Safety Check including Police Vetting (click here for more information)

Identity Verification

All candidates who attend an interview with MercyAscot will have their identity verified in person - which means we will be checking to confirm that you are who you say you are!
